Catherine Swift, Chairwoman, President and CEO

From September 1987 to date, Catherine Susan Swift has been with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. She became Chairwoman in June 1999 after being named Chief Executive Officer in July, 1997 and President in May of 1995.

Corinne Pohlmann, Vice-President, National Affairs

Corinne is based in Ottawa and is responsible for managing CFIB's strategic direction on national affairs, keeping track of emerging national business issues, and sensitizing the federal government to the needs of Canada's independent businesses.

Dan Kelly, Senior Vice-President, Legislative Affairs

Dan Kelly currently serves as the Senior Vice-President, Legislative Affairs for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). In this position, Dan oversees CFIB's national and provincial legislative and research functions. As a senior spokesperson for CFIB, Dan Kelly represents the Federation’s views to politicians, government, business, the media and other groups. Richard Fahey, Senior Vice-President, Strategic Development

Richard Fahey is Senior Vice-President, Strategic Development. In this position Richard serves as key strategist on the national level and oversees all CFIB operations in Quebec - including Field Operations and Legislative Affairs. Mr. Fahey is also accountable for the Marketing and Public Affairs departments, and is a member of the Executive and Operations Committees. As a senior spokesperson for CFIB, Richard Fahey represents the Federation’s views to politicians, government, business, the media and other groups.

Brien Gray, Executive Vice-President

Brien Gray joined the Canadian Federation of Independent Business in 1978 as the first Director of Provincial Affairs. His mandate was to establish a CFIB presence at the provincial level throughout Canada. Since that time he has held a number of senior positions within the Federation. He is presently Senior Vice-President Field Operations.

Ted Mallett, Vice-President, Research and Chief Economist

Ted Mallett is responsible for CFIB’s policy research information gathering and membership survey activities. His experience covers a wide range of policy issues including: tax policy, local government, the environment, banking and telecommunications.

Doug Bruce, Director of Research

Doug Bruce is the Director of Research for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) in Toronto. In his role at CFIB, he is responsible for undertaking research on public policy issues affecting the small and medium-size business sector.
