CFIB Letter in Response to CRA's Automobile Expense Simplification Proposal

After almost two years of stalling tactics and repeated pressure by the CFIB, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has finally come up with suggested options to implement a simplified automobile expense deduction. The CFIB went to its members to see what they thought of the plan, and gave that feedback to the CRA, along with suggested next steps.

CFIB Letter to Taxpayers' Ombudsman

On February 19th, 2010, the CFIB sent a letter to Paul Dubé, the Taxpayers' Ombudsman for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). The letter presented our members’ views on the progress achieved (if any) by the CRA in making its operations more customer-friendly. We also push for further work on the customer service side, with specific recommendations.
