Small business and charitable giving in the North

Introduction
Despite the economic challenges and uncertainty that small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Yukon and the Northwest Territories have faced over the last year, their contribution to community and charitable causes remains very strong.
The vast and overwhelming majority of SMEs in the North give back to their communities: Ninety-eight per cent make in-kind donations of products and services, while 89 per cent make cash donations. These are just some of the findings contained in this report based on recent survey results from Yukon and NWT members of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.
