New GNWT elected on October 3rd
The general election for the 17th Legislative Assembly was conducted on October 3, 2011. To view the unofficial election results please visit the Elections NWT website at: http://www.electionsnwt.ca/. The Chief Electoral Officer will be publishing the official results soon.
The new premier and cabinet are expected to be chosen during the week of October 24-28, 2011 by the Members of the Legislative Assembly. Until then, the premier and cabinet of the 16th Legislative Assembly will remain in place. Once the new premier and cabinet are chosen, we will be pressing them to pursue a more small business-friendly path.
