Join CFIB and have your voices heard

CFIB represents over 1,000 small, independent businesses in Prince Edward Island. We regularly meet with the government and the official opposition to present their views - on all sorts of issues. The following are just some of the issues we've been working on in Prince Edward Island:

Taking a common sense approach to minimum wage - In Prince Edward Island, minimum wage has rapidly increased in recent years which has left many small businesses struggling to adapt. CFIB advocates for a common sense approach to minimum wage across Prince Edward Island.

Reducing the regulatory and paper burden on business - Many policymakers themselves are unaware of the enormous regulatory and paper burden placed on Island businesses. CFIB works to create awareness surrounding government regulations and the paper burden imposed by governments on small and medium-sized businesses.

Equality for entrepreneurs - The gap between wages and benefits in the Public Sector and the Private Sector is a growing concern. On average, public sector employees retire 6 years earlier than their private sector counterparts. CFIB brings professional research and hard numbers to policymakers which shows the real need for private sector equality.
