New fraud line from Public Services and Procurement Canada

On April 20, 2017, the Competition Bureau (CB), in partnership with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), launched a new online tool to help in the fight against fraud, collusion and corruption.

The purpose of this initiative is to:

  • protect government spending from fraud, collusion and corruption;
  • provide Canadian suppliers and members of the public with a centralized point of contact to provide information on suspected wrongdoing in federal contracting; and
  • allow the CB, PSPC, and the RCMP to gather information in one central place and share where warranted.

Individuals with information on suspected wrongdoing, for example bid-rigging, price-fixing, false invoicing, bribery, etc., in a government of Canada contract or real property agreement are encouraged to report it anonymously by calling the protected toll-free line 1-844-365-1616 or by completing the online reporting form.
