As of April 30th, 2004, Alberta’s new Occupational Health and Safety (OH and S) Code came into effect, and all Alberta businesses are now expected to comply. Essentially, the Code brings together eleven previous Safety Regulations under one all-encompassing Code, so many of the technical details and requirements should already be well known by those involved in higher risk industries.
