CFIB's Shachi Kurl is now a board member of the BC Small Business Roundtable. The Roundtable is chaired by the Minister responsible for small business and board members are recognized as leaders in their community and represent all regions of the province.

CFIB calls on Solicitor General to Review BC's New Drinking and Driving Laws

Representing 5 per cent of British Columbia's total economic activity and directly employing more than 162,000 British Columbians, restaurants and pubs are one of the province's largest job creators. After the introduction in September 2010 of the new drinking and driving legislation, industry revenues in many parts of BC are down significantly and small businesses have had to reduce staff hours or let staff go.
 

2011 - Year of the Entrepreneur
