A new federal bill, C-317 (introduced by Conservative MP Russ Hiebert) aims to get labour unions to be more transparent in how they spend their union dues. CFIB writes a letter to Mr. Hiebert to provide our support for the bill in a larger fight to bring accountability and transparency in union practices.

The election was avoided by a last-minute deal to have a blue-ribbon panel of Liberal and Conservative appointees investigate EI issues and report back in the Fall.
