Pushing to reduce the payroll tax

You've told us that reducing the payroll tax is your highest priority for tax relief. We recently met with the Finance Minister to urge him to eliminate the tax in the next provincial budget.

As property owners open their mail, many are noticing significant increases in their 2009 property assessments that will, subsequently, result in significant property tax hikes. While many councils have declared they will reduce their mill rates to offset some of the increases in assessments, much of the talk is about residential property taxation.
