Small business optimism on the rise in Nova Scotia

Optimism among Nova Scotia’s small business owners improved for a fourth straight month in March. The Canadian Federation of Independent Business’ (CFIB) Business Barometer® Index for Nova Scotia climbed to 64.1 in March, but remains below the national index of 67.7.

According to the latest Business Barometer Index from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), confidence among Nova Scotia's small businesses rose to 61.3 in February. While this marks the third straight month of rising optimism, Nova Scotia still trails the national average of 66.0.

Incorporating what was then a small, fledgling start-up was the culmination of a fight that John led to scrap the now infamous federal government’s White Paper on Tax Reform.
