Helping businesses navigate red tape

CFIB has recognized Nova Scotia’s Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness by inducting them into the prestigious Order of the Bear! The Order celebrates people and organizations who have cut through red tape and eliminated barriers to success for small business.

Leanne Hachey and Joan Penney’s teams have taken a practical and innovative step to make regulations less of a burden on business owners. They created the Business Navigation Service, which helps entrepreneurs like you understand and comply with the many regulations around building and running a business in Nova Scotia. Created earlier this year, the service has already fielded hundreds of calls from grateful business owners.

A Strong Record of Helping Business

The navigation service builds on the teams’ stellar work in cutting through red tape. In recent years, they have made inter-provincial business easier by eliminating unnecessary regulations across the Atlantic Provinces. They have also made you top of mind by carefully evaluating regulations’ impact on small businesses.

We are proud to welcome the Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness into the Order of the Bear, and thank them for their commitment to helping business thrive in Nova Scotia!
