If you report to the WCB, be sure to check your December, 2016 statement.
CFIB was alerted by the Office of the Employer Advisor (OEA) to an error on the monthly statements issued on December 25th, 2016. These statements show an assessable maximum earnings of $59,300 on the remittance Calculation Worksheet for line B. excess wages; however, the correct amount for the 2016 assessable maximum is $58,200.
If you have workers that earned over the assessable maximum for 2016 and used the incorrect amount to calculate your assessable payroll, CFIB urges you to contact your CFIB Business Counsellor, the OEA or the WCB to discuss any necessary changes.
WCBNS is apologizing to CFIB Members for the error and any inconvenience it might cause to your business.
Your CFIB Business Counsellor can always be reached at 1 888 234-2232 or by emailing [email protected].
