Manitobans want tax hike referendums

Manitobans want provincial referendums before any increase in major taxes, according to the latest poll results from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB).

Manitobans (72%) and small business owners (88%) have been crystal clear: they want to be consulted directly on major tax hikes. The coming provincial election is an ideal opportunity for all political parties to show that they stand with Manitobans and commit to holding provincial referendums before raising any major taxes.

Stay tuned for CFIB’s 2016 Party Leader’s election survey to find out which parties will stand with Manitobans by committing to hold referendums.
