CFIB submits recommendations to Yukon's Workers' Compensation and OH&S Consultation

The Yukon government is looking at ways to modernize the Workers’ Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.

To ensure your voice is heard, we participated in the consultation by making a submission of our own. Our recommendations include:

  • Consider the cost of recommendations to balance the interests of employers and employees;
  • Ensure careful consideration is given when developing rules and regulation regarding domestic violence and mental health and work with both employees and employers when developing the process, by having another consultation;
  • Do not introduce changes to the program that eliminate or even surpass the current surplus so that the premiums paid by employers increase;
  • And more...

We will keep you updated with any changes to the Yukon's Workers' Compensation Act or OH&S Act by updating this page. Stay tuned for any changes to this file!
