On October 9th, the federal government announced important improvements to several of its core COVID-19 support programs that could help your business survive the pandemic, including the wage subsidy and rent assistance. These changes mean that even if you weren’t eligible for the financial aid programs before, you might qualify now!

The webinar will focus on 3 critical programs:
  • Rent relief: A new Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS) will replace the flawed CECRA program. If you qualify, this will cover up to 65% of eligible rent costs, depending on your losses, until December 19th. 
  • Emergency loans: The Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) will increase to $60,000, and up to $20,000 of that will be forgivable if the loan is repaid by the deadline.
  • Wages: The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) will remain at 65% until December 19, instead of rapidly decreasing as expected, and will be extended until next June.
