“We welcome the special advisors’ interim report on the Changing Workplaces Review and the opportunity to provide further input before the final report is prepared. Strong employer-employee relations are integral to business success and no one knows that better than a small business owner, six in ten of which operate with fewer than five employees. Regulations and red tape have a disproportionately high impact on Ontario’s small businesses, who lack the resources to take on further regulation and barriers – an important fact for the advisors to consider as they prepare their recommendations.
We look forward to carefully studying the interim report and submitting our recommendations this fall on behalf of our 42,000 Ontario small- and medium-sized business members."
