Attract more customers with a lower rate
This study examines the provincial/territorial workers’ compensation boards across Canada, ranking the boards through the lens of a small business owner based on seven major indicators (cost of premiums; claims management; experience rating; classification and assessment; coverage; long-term fiscal sustainability; and customer service).
In the 2015 report, the New Brunswick board ranked highest with an aggregate score of 7.0 out of 10, followed by the Prince Edward Island and Alberta boards at 6.7 and 6.4 respectively. The Quebec and Ontario boards finished with the lowest scores in both 2011 and 2015.
Based on these findings, the report offers boards the following recommendations:
