Looking to hire? Consider the Youth Employment Fund

The Post Secondary Education Training and Labour department of New Brunswick is introducing a new program to help place unemployed individuals between the ages of 18-29 years of age that require work experience with employers.

By placing individuals with employers, the youth may gain work experience and develop skills through basic workplace training, mentoring and coaching from the employer. You are matched through a case management process with eligible employers for 26 weeks (6 month) of work experience.

Funding is maximized at $10,000 per individual and is a wage reimbursement for 30 hours a week for 26 weeks.

CFIB applauds the program for being paper burden light for both the employer and the job seeker and providing a quick service turn around for applicants on both sides of the program.
