Manitoba's minimum wage increases to $11.65/hour on October 1

Effective October 1, 2019, Manitoba's minimum wage will increase from $11.35 per hour to $11.65 per hour.

  • General Minimum Wage: The minimum wage applies equally to all employees regardless of age or the number of hours worked. FAQs are available on the Minimum Wage Fact Sheet.
  • Security Guard Minimum Wage: The minimum wage of $12.50 per hour is paid to persons employed as a security guard, who hold a licence to act as a security guard issued under The Private Investigators and Security Guards Act
  • Construction Minimum Wage: While the general minimum wage applies to workers in residential construction and building maintenance, there are separate minimum wages for the heavy construction sector and the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) sectors of the construction industry.
