On July 1st, 2023, over 7,000 BC port workers went on strike. With no resolution in sight, a prolonged strike could have serious consequences for small businesses. Unless the parties negotiate a deal immediately through collective bargaining, CFIB is urging the federal government to enact back-to-work legislation so that businesses are not unfairly punished by circumstances outside of their control.
