Angela Drennan
Vice-President, Legislative Affairs, Ontario
As a Vice President and leader of the Ontario Legislative Team at CFIB, Angela develops, refines, and implements strategic provincial and municipal advocacy, research, policy and communication initiatives on behalf of 39,000 members in Ontario. Her primary focus areas include tax reform, procurement, navigating municipal policies, energy matters and planning and development files. She is a trusted executive advisor with an intimate working knowledge of the legislative process in the Province of Ontario, the City of Toronto and municipalities across Canada.
Angela brings more than 20 years of experience and demonstrated success in public affairs, government relations, and strategic communications. Prior to joining CFIB, Angela was the Vice-President and National Municipal Practice Group Lead at Sussex Strategy Group.
Her career began in municipal politics at the City of Toronto, where she worked with several City Councillors and served as Policy Advisor to the TTC Chair. She later held senior roles with two Provincial Ministers at Queen’s Park, deepening her expertise in provincial policy and stakeholder engagement.
Angela is known for her ability to deliver results and build strong relationships across all levels of government, industry, and the non-profit sector.
She holds an Honours BA and MA in Political Science from the University of Toronto. She has served as a Director with the Public Affairs Association of Canada and is a frequent guest speaker at academic, political, and industry events.
