Francesca Basta is a Research Analyst in Toronto for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB).

Since joining CFIB in 2022, Francesca has worked on a range of surveys and research reports on issues affecting small business, including payroll taxes and the impact of automation on small businesses.

Francesca has a Bilingual Master's in Public and International Affairs (MPIA) from the Glendon School at York University and an Honours Bachelor's (Hon. B.A.) in International Relations and Sociology from the University of Toronto.
