Federal Election 2025
Your Future, Your Vote
Election is over, and as we’ve done for over 50 years, we’ll continue to work with the government and all the elected MPs to defend the interest of small business owners. We won’t forget to remind the parties the promises they made to small businesses, if needed.
Top priorities for SMEs: See the latest survey results
Our team in the field visited thousands of business owners across Canada weekly and asked them about their top election priorities. Thanks to all small business owners who have shared their views when visited by CFIB representatives. Each week until Election Day, we highlighted the top three priorities small businesses wanted the next federal government to focus on.

- We will NEVER endorse any political party or candidate.
- We will NEVER tell our members how to vote.
- We will voice Canadian independent business owners’ concerns and priorities.
- Based on our member surveys, we will propose measures that support small businesses to all political parties.
- We will compliment good policy ideas from any political party.
- We will criticize harmful policy ideas from any political party.
- We will work cooperatively with the next government and all opposition parties.
