Minimum Wage in Ontario

Effective January 1st, 2022 minimum wage in Ontario will be increasing.

After the January 1st increase, the minimum wage will be re-indexed to inflation. Businesses can expect a rate increase announcement in Spring 2022, to take effect October 1st, 2022.

Liquor servers minimum wage $12.55 per hour $15.00

(the liquor servers' wage category will be eliminated and replaced with the general minimum wage)

Hunting and fishing guides minimum wage $71.75
Rate for working less than five consecutive hours in a day

$143.55
Rate for working five or more hours in a day whether or not the hours are consecutive

$75.00
Rate for working less than five consecutive hours in a day

$150.05
Rate for working five or more hours in a day whether or not the hours are consecutive

Homeworkers wage $15.80 per hour $16.50 per hour
