Appointed CFIB's Vice-President, Quebec in May 2010, Martine Hébert is the spokesperson for small and medium enterprises (SME) in Quebec. She represents the views of Quebec SMEs to government and media. She manages the staff and financial resources of CFIB's Quebec office, located in Montreal. Martine holds a Master's Degree in Economics and has also studied law.
Martine has more than 15 years experience in public and government relations, and opened her own public affairs agency in 2001. Since then, she has worked as a consultant for a clientele consisting primarily of professional and trade associations throughout Quebec and Canada.
Author of a book on the secrets of lobbying, the first practical guide of its kind to be published in Quebec, she is well known and respected for applying the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in her work spanning public and government relations.
During the course of her career, she has held a variety of senior positions: public affairs consultant, political attaché for various government departments, as well as director of government affairs for a trade association. She is the author of hundreds of articles, publications, analyses and studies covering a broad range of topical issues.
Finally, in addition to her work in public and government affairs, she has represented a number of high profile groups in Quebec and Canada at various conferences. She has also taught government relations at the University of Montreal, and co-founded l'Association québécoise des lobbyistes.
