CFIB calls on government to create a growth-friendly environment

We recently met with Nova Scotia’s Standing Committee on Human Resources to discuss the current business climate and how we can turn things around.
We highlighted the need for an environment that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation, including: 

  • Right-sizing government and ensuring wage and benefit comparability with the private sector
  • Creating competitive tax and regulatory systems and a stable labour environment
  • Ensuring our education and immigration systems recognize the value of entrepreneurship and work closely with businesses to meet skill demands
