Control your costs: tips on energy efficiency

One of the things you told us in our recent energy survey is that you just didn’t know what energy efficiency programs were available to you. To remedy this, CFIB met with Natural Resources Minister Siobhan Coady, and Environment and Conservation Minister Perry Trimper, as well as Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, to begin working together to raise awareness of the programs.

Did you know:

  • takeCHARGE can help identify and pay for energy efficiency improvements for your business?
  • You could get up to $50,000 back when you invest in energy-saving upgrades to things like lighting, heating and refrigeration?

Whether you’re processing fish, manufacturing doo-dads or selling clothes, takeCHARGE has ideas to help your business become more energy efficient.

We’ll keep you posted on our efforts as we continue working with the government and public utilities to find other measures to help ease the burden of energy costs in the coming years. In the meantime, you can give your energy-efficiency a charge by visiting the takeCHARGE NL website and learning about their programs.
