If higher wage expectations are a challenge in recruiting your next employee, find out if you are eligible for wage subsidies or other financial incentives. These programs can reduce your wage costs. We hope you can take advantage of government funding designed to help grow Canadian businesses.
What about wage subsidies?
Wage subsidies encourage hiring people from specific groups, including students, recent graduates, people with disabilities, etc. Canada Business Network’s Wage Subsidies website identifies current opportunities across Canada. You can narrow your search by identifying your region and industry.
Planning ahead is important especially if there are application deadlines. For example, applications to Canada Summer Jobs 2016 for hiring students will only be assessed if received or postmarked by February 26, 2016.
Is there financing to hire an apprentice?
Incentives are available to employers and apprentices. Click on the province below to learn more.
