Ensuring provincial leadership candidates focus on your key concerns

It seems to be the season for political leadership races in Saskatchewan. With Premier Wall announcing his retirement in early 2018, a new leader of the Saskatchewan Party will be elected January 27, 2018 in Saskatoon. A new leader of the Saskatchewan New Democrats will be elected March 3, 2018 in Regina.

Pushing for small business friendly policies:  As a non-partisan organization, CFIB will not be endorsing specific candidates. However, we will work hard to ensure your concerns and priorities are front and center in all candidates’ platforms.

That’s why we plan to meet with each leadership candidate in the coming weeks prior to the Saskatchewan Party and NDP leadership conventions to discuss ways to further improve Saskatchewan’s business climate. We will also ask all candidates to complete CFIB’s 2017 Leadership Candidates’ Survey on Small Business Issues. We believe this is an excellent opportunity for all candidates to outline their plans and policies to make Saskatchewan more competitive. Candidates’ responses will be posted, unedited on CFIB’s Saskatchewan website and will be shared with you, so you can review their responses.
