Canada – About economics

Entrepreneurship is at the heart of economic development and small and mid-sized businesses represent almost half of Canada’s total employment and economic output. Combining custom information collected from CFIB surveys with traditional economics data sources, CFIB Economics aims to increase public understanding of the relationship between entrepreneurship, private business ownership and various dimensions of economic activity.

Ted Mallett, Vice-President & Chief Economist, has more than 30 years experience in the economics field. Ted is a member of the Federal Department of Finance panel of private sector economics forecasters. He is also a regular author for the National Post online.
