Jean-Pierre Cayer
Jean-Pierre Cayer is President and Founder of First Base Inc., established 1986, a leading manufacturer of fine paper products and through its Taiwan subsidiary, DAC branded Desk, Ergonomic and Computer Accessories. From 1980-85, he was vice-president, marketing and sales and a shareholder of Storwal International Inc. He also held senior management positions in marketing for Hiram Walker Gooderham & Worts in Toronto and Corby Distilleries in Montreal. His formative professional years were spent in various management positions for TD Bank.
Jean-Pierre is a past president of the Office Products Manufacturers´ Association, a past director of the Canadian Office Products Association, a past director, secretary, vice-chair and past chair of the School, Home and Office Products Association of Dayton, Ohio, and a past director of Innovator’s Alliance.
From 1995 to the present he has been a member of The Advisory Group. He is also a director of The Speech Foundation of Ontario and of Crystal Fountains Inc.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Université de Sherbrooke and is married with two adult children.
His personal interests include travel, building and renovations, computers and golf.
