We’re facing an entrepreneurial drought. Rising costs, increasing taxes and red tape are drying up opportunities for those willing to take risks and build Canada’s future.
When government policies ignore small business, our economy grinds to a halt. Every additional dollar entrepreneurs can reinvest into their staff and operations fuels jobs and prosperity. But high taxes and red tape are choking our productivity and growth.
Canada doesn’t work when small businesses are left behind. It’s time to deliver bold, pro-small business policies to reduce costs, remove red tape and restore confidence. We need to end our entrepreneurial drought before it’s too late.
I am calling on you to:
- Reduce the small business tax rate from 9% to 6%.
- Implement a 50:50 split in EI premiums to reduce small business payroll costs.
- Eliminate two regulations for every new one introduced (a “2 for 1” rule) to cut red tape.
- Balance the budget.
- Stop using taxpayer money to subsidize giant multinational corporations.
- End government sponsored union favouritism.
- Keep your promise to reduce the bloated civil service and limit future growth.
