242 - Message from the Vice-President
Ants can move mountains, my mother used to say. Whether you are running a business or a leading lobbying organization like CFIB, you must persevere in the face of delays and keep a positive attitude despite obstacles. And that is just what has been called for in the battle against red tape that we have been leading for several years. During Red Tape Awareness Week held last January, the Quebec government, at the request of CFIB, set up a working group on red tape reduction. "What? Yet another committee?!", some might exclaim. Well, not this time. We will take a hard look at the list of forms and regulations that we would like to see reviewed, simplified or even eliminated. These are amongst a host of burning issues for our members. By the time the committee has wrapped up its mandate, we hope to have good news to share with you.
