Challenging Government’s plan to scrap Individual Pension Plans (IPPs)

At a time when most governments are seeking to increase the retirement savings options available to private sector individuals, it seems highly inconsistent to change the defined-benefit Individual Pension Plans (IPPs) in such a way that it would effectively eliminate IPPs. Nevertheless, this seems to be the result of the IPP changes regarding "past service" announced in the 2011 Federal Budget.
