CFIB has been calling for government at all levels to reduce the amount of regulation and paper burden that small businesses have to deal with and to make the registration requirements transparent and easy to understand.

OneStopBC is a positive move in the right direction. It provides a step-by-step guide on how to register your business, change your business address, and comply with liquor licensing regulations.

These services are based on your Business Number (BN) which is a unique 9 digit number that makes working with the public sector simpler, easier, and more convenient. If you don't already have a BN, a BN will be assigned the first time you register with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

This Business Registration service will allow you to register with the CRA (for GST/HST, payroll deductions, corporate income tax, import/export accounts etc.), WorkSafeBC, and Municipal Business Licenses - all in one place.
