The government confirmed that mandatory payment of WSIB premiums for independent operators and small business owners in construction and some of their executive officers/directors will begin on January 1, 2013.

The Ministry of Labour- BULLETIN - advises that independent operators can pre- register as of December 19, 2011 and the WSIB premiums will be mandatory to pay the following year-January 1, 2013.
