Award will recognize leadership in cutting red tape for small business

WINNIPEG, January 12, 2012 - With only a few days left until the start of Red Tape Awareness Week (Jan 16^th -20^th), the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) has announced the finalists for the inaugural Golden Scissors Award. The Award recognizes an individual who has successfully motivated or demonstrated leadership and courage, and produced meaningful and positive results in cutting red tape for small business.

CFIB gathered dozens of possible Golden Scissors Award nominations from all levels of government across Canada.  The winner will be announced on Thursday, January 19^th  and will receive a special trophy, framed certificate, as well as recognition on the CFIB website, Facebook page, and other member communications.

The finalists for 2012 Golden Scissors Award are:
