VICTORY! All small business federal carbon tax rebates, including more than $600 million in 2025, WILL BE TAX FREE!

To: Prime Minister Mark Carney

CC: My Member of Parliament

Canadian businesses have faced a global pandemic, numerous strikes and supply chain disruptions, sky rocketing inflation and an interest rate roller-coaster, all while CPP and EI costs and the carbon tax* continued to climb.

Now we have even more economic uncertainty with the ongoing U.S.-Canada trade war. I need you to provide stability back into our economy!

It’s time to support small businesses and lower the cost of doing business now!

To keep small businesses like mine on track, I urge you to:

  • Formally eliminate the carbon tax, return the remaining $600 million in 2024-25 carbon tax rebates to small business and ensure they are tax free as promised. ✓
  • Ensure that the money collected through Canadian counter tariffs is returned quickly to affected Canadian small businesses.
  • Deliver on the promised increase to the Lifetime Capital Gains Exemption to $1.25 million and implementing the promised Canadian Entrepreneurs’ Incentive.
  • Lower the federal small business tax rate from 9% to 0% for the foreseeable future.
  • Reduce red-tape and work with provinces toward eliminating internal trade barriers.
